The Story Behind Movementeers
Movementeers was born from a simple truth: ageing doesn’t have to mean slowing down. Too many people drift into stiffness and weakness, not because they have to — but because they’ve stopped moving. I wanted to show there’s another way.
I’m 58, and I stay strong and mobile so I can keep doing the things I love — cartwheels in the garden, cold water swims, climbing trees with the grandkids. I’m not chasing perfection or pushing to extremes. I’m training for life — for independence, freedom, playfulness, and joy.
There is a natural physical decline as we age — but we can influence how that unfolds. Regular strength and movement training can slow it down dramatically. That’s why I created these routines — they’re the exact workouts I do myself, every week.
My own rhythm is simple:
✔ I follow a dumbbell-based full-body routine on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
✔ I repeat the same movements without dumbbells on Tuesdays and Thursdays
✔ I rest on weekends and move daily in other ways, just by staying active
It’s a routine that keeps me at my best — and I believe it can help others feel the same. Movementeers is for people who want to stay strong, mobile and engaged with life for as long as possible. It’s not about extreme fitness. It’s about refusing to drift into decline
